For the first time in Egypt and around the world, a dentist born with hearing impairment will present her master’s thesis. The master’s thesis is scheduled to be discussed at the Faculty of Dentistry, Future University on October 2nd at 11:00 am. The thesis is about: The effect of different preparation designs on the marginal accuracy of laminate veneers fabricated from hybrid ceramics. This is the first master’s thesis presented in Egypt and the world in this field.

Dr. Israa El-Bably is the first person in the world to join the Faculty of Dentistry and obtain a bachelor’s degree in this field despite being born with hearing impairment. (Nerve hearing loss in both ears at a rate of 110/120 decibels). Despite that, she is able to communicate in both Arabic and English. She also owns her private clinic.

Dr. Israa El-Bably is an inspiration at the level of Egypt and the world. She is the first speaker in the history of the United Nations among those who are deaf. She has been honored multiple times by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the World Youth Forum, and she has been awarded the Medal of Excellence in the Second Class, the highest honor given by the President to Egyptian universities.

Dr. Israa El-Bably serves as the Secretary-General of the Cairo Dental Syndicate after winning the elections. She is known for breaking down barriers and continually working to change society’s perception of differences and promote respect for others.
