WoEgyptGlobal Project Partners, and Fair Trade Egypt join hands to support women empowerment and gender equality, and promote their safety and rights, through designing a unique handmade bracelet.

To this end, artisans and jewelry designers all over Egypt are called to take part in a competition with their best designs of a unique handmade bracelet to heighten awareness for eliminating violence against women and girls in the World. The award-winning design is meant to not only symbolize a brighter future that is devoid of violence but also highlight original, substantive, and positive contributions that help the world become an equal and fair place for women.

There will be one bracelet design that will symbolize Women Empowerment and Gender Equality, but it will be accompanied with several “charms” representing internationally recognized campaigns such as The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls, Sixteen Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, Women International Day, Gender Equality Day, etc.  Different charms can be bought separately after purchasing the first bracelet or they can be sold as bracelets too.

The purpose of this contest is to select and reward the designer of the most creative and innovative bracelet that captures the theme of Women Empowerment.
