Registration is now open for the second edition of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects.
The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced that registration is now open — for all goveornates —for the second edition of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects. The initiative comes under the patronage of President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.mDr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, assured that the high demand of candidates from the various governorates to participate in the second edition reflects the rising interest and awareness about climate change, and challenges facing it. She stressed the importance of motivating various sectors to find smart solutions to societal problems using clean technology, while uniting efforts to find solutions to the challenges of climate change.
The initiative aims to find solutions to the problems of climate change at the national level, and find investment opportunities and a mechanism for financing projects by linking projects with donors and financial and international institutions; working within the framework of localizing sustainable development goals; achieving smart partnership between local, national and international entities; and mapping smart green projects at the governorate level. In addition, the initiative also aims to apply smart technology and digital transformation, empower women, youth, private sector and civil society.
