Rania Yehia, Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy and Art Sciences at the Higher Institute of Art Criticism at the Academy of Arts was appointed Dean of the Higher Institute of Art Criticism at the Academy of Arts

Rania Yehia is a member of the National Council for Women, rapporteur of the Arts and Literature Committee, and fellow of the National Defense College at Nasser Higher Military Academy.

She has been a flutist with the Cairo Opera Orchestra since 1995. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Association of Film Writers and Critics, and a member of the youth committee at the Supreme Council for Culture. In 2023, she received the State Award for Excellence in Arts.

She holds a BA from Cairo Conservatoire and a BA in Law from Cairo University. She has a PhD in Philosophy of Arts from the Higher Institute of Art Criticism.

She was honored at the fifth edition Babylon International Festival, Iraq. She played an assortment of Egyptian music with an Iraqi music orchestra, in a concert attended by thousands of Iraqi audiences. She was also the only musician who performed solo from the 58 participating countries. She was awarded the festival shield.
