Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Cairo is organizing the first sale exhibition for the unique handcrafted art pieces created by its students. The unique brass, ceramics, wood, and gypsum pieces are inspired by Egyptian traditional arts and heritage. The exhibition is the perfect opportunity for lovers of traditional arts and crafts to buy one of a kind decorative pieces.

Opened to the public for free, the exhibition kicks off on July 19th, 2023 and runs until July 23rd, at the Fustat Centre for Traditional Crafts. It is opened daily from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., except on Friday.

“The pieces on display are a testament to the skill and talent of the Jameel House in Cairo students, who have worked tirelessly to create these exquisite works of art throughout their two-year learning journey,” announced Jameel House.

The Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Cairo is an educational institute teaching classes in traditional geometry, observational drawing, color harmony and decorative floral patterns, as well as specialized training in ceramics, glass and gypsum, metalwork and woodwork.

Located in Fustat in Historic Cairo, the Jameel House was launched in 2009 in collaboration between The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, Community Jameel, and the Cultural Development Fund of Egypt.

With a mission to preserve and champion Egypt’s oldest crafts, the Jameel House accepts around 20 students annually on a two-year training program, developed and delivered by The Prince’s Foundation School according to the same principles and standards as the courses at the London campus.
