Russia hosts ‘Treasures from Tutankhamun’s Tomb’ exhibition

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Egypt and Russia, Moscow is hosting the exhibition “Treasures from Tutankhamun’s Tomb”, announced the Russian Embassy in Cairo.

The statement from the embassy stated that the exhibition will run until August 24th, 2023, and will display more than 100 pieces, including replicas of items found in the tomb. A team of artists, museum restorers and Egyptologists for more than one year worked on recreating these items

“This unique educational project Tutankhamun, whose tomb was discovered intact, has become a symbol of ancient Egypt in the modern world. And the treasures found in his tomb gave scientists have a huge amount of material for studying post-Egyptian art. The exhibition represents a unique educational project for those wishing to learn about the Pharaonic civilization.”
