It is wonderful to flow smoothly between the two extremes of the introvert in the wide extroversion spectrum. I have known that I am an introvert since I was very young. By nature, I have always sought out quiet natural places, seeking meditation, thinking, enjoying the calmness, and listening to the harmony of nature. When I was younger, I found that I was happier and more relaxed surrounded by fewer people, drawing and reading. I enjoyed listening more than talking. I take my time to make decisions, and when I decide, I never regret or change my mind. I never felt that I should be the center of attention or the star of any event or gathering. In the meantime, I found that I am a sharp observer, and I can analyze everything precisely. I knew that I am not introspective in reverse; I am very talkative and active when surrounded by people I am familiar with.
As I am getting older and my professional and personal life has started to expand, my acquaintance circle and experience have started to increase accordingly. Contrary to my previous thoughts, I was amazed that, according to the situation, I enjoy socializing, and I am very talkative, gregarious, and expressive. I also came to realize that I am capable of being the cynosure of any event. To my surprise, I find that I am enjoying being a public speaker, sharing ideas, discussing with audiences, and disseminating knowledge. Meanwhile, my introvert trait enables me to feel empathy with others and put myself in their situations without judging but with understanding.
Since then, I have realized that there is a fascinating personality trait between the two extremes. The introvert-extrovert spectrum encompasses a wide range, and I identify with this middle type. A powerful metaphor for this is swimming among anemones: you feel safe and enjoy a beautiful scene, yet you can freely navigate the open sea and return to your safe zone. Finding a balance between these two extremes has enhanced both my professional and personal life. Embracing both sides of my personality has fostered a deeper understanding of myself. Additionally, it has helped me assist others in understanding their personalities, recognizing their strengths, and learning how to make the best use of them.
I would advise the reader to listen to your inner voice and instinct; do not bother yourself with judgmental people, as this will surely hinder progress. Everyone has extraordinary potential and inner energy. Thus, it qualifies us to do, learn, and establish whatever it may be, even if it seems impossible. Finally, the human psyche is very complex yet delicate; hence, empathy and compassion without judging are the only paths to self-exploration and flourishing.
