Egyptian Soprano Neveen Allouba Received France’s Order of Arts and Letters

Egyptian Soprano Neveen Allouba received France’s Order of Arts and Letters in the grade of Chevalier (Knight) by France’s ambassador to Cairo.

Soprano Neveen Allouba is a long-standing member of the Cairo Opera Company, a Professor of Music at the Cairo Conservatory and the Academy of Arts. She also teaches voice at the American University in Cairo.

She has performed leading opera roles in Hannover, Detmold, Essen, Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London, Rome, Dublin, Amman, Cairo, and Alexandria. 

She graduated from the Cairo Conservatory with honors in piano, and holds a Ph.D. in opera and vocal pedagogy from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. 

In 2011, Neveen Alouba founded Fabrica, and she is its CEO. Fabrica aims at developing the contemporary Egyptian performing arts scene and cultural production, focusing in its first phases on musical theater, in Egypt, by offering training programs, performance possibilities and outreach into the community.
