Co-Founder of Flash, Sherine Kabesh Wins Startups Entrepreneurial TV Competition El Forsa 2023, the First Female Entrepreneur to Win.

The judging panel on “El Forsa” program, with a majority of votes, selected the Flash and its co-founder Sherine Ashraf as winners for the season 2023.

After fierce competition among 10 startups, Sherine became the first female entrepreneur to win first place in the program, presented by Lamis El Hadidi on ON channel. El Forsa with Lamees El Hadidi” stands as the largest TV competition for startups across Arab screens, started its first seasons as “Hona El Shabab” in 2017.

Flash company secured a tax-free cash prize of 2 million Egyptian pounds, along with a complimentary advertising campaign on various satellite and digital channels, courtesy of the United Media Services Company. Additionally, they received an extensive public relations campaign.

Sherine graduated from the American University in Cairo and has extensive experience in marketing. She worked as Head of Marketing for Uber for five years, and also served as Marketing Team Leader at Vodafone.

Founded in 2021, Flash, an iOS and Android-compatible mobile application, enables secure contactless digital payments for businesses, both in-store and online, through QR codes.

With approval from the Central Bank of Egypt, Flash provides merchants with tools for managing customers, receiving payments and conducting transactions.

The fintech says the funding will accelerate the start-up’s product development, customer and business acquisition in Egypt.

Flash has also obtained approval from the Central Bank of Egypt in partnership with Banque Misr to operate as a technical payment aggregator.
