The Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation (IBF) proudly celebrates ten years of empowering communities and enhancing access to healthcare through sustainable, high-quality medical services across Egypt. Established in 2014 to honor the vision of the late Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Badran, the foundation was inspired by his deep commitment to serving his community. His mother, Mrs. Ola Ismail, founded IBF to carry forward his legacy and mission to provide healthcare to those in need.

The foundation began as a modest initiative organizing small medical convoys in Fayoum, supported by family and friends united by the belief in providing medical care to the most vulnerable groups. Over time, this idea has transformed into a registered entity with a dedicated team of enthusiastic healthcare professionals and skilled doctors, committed to ensuring that healthcare reaches the most underserved communities. Guided by the fundamental belief that healthcare is a basic human right, IBF organizes medical convoys, mobile health clinics, and fixed satellite clinics to provide accessible healthcare services.

Today, IBF operates six mobile health clinics and eight fixed satellite clinics across Cairo, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Qena, Luxor, Edfu, Aswan, and Qalyubia. These facilities are equipped with the latest technologies, including telemedicine systems, enabling comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services that meet the needs of patients effectively.

Over the past ten years, IBF has achieved remarkable milestones, impacting lives across Egypt. The foundation has provided medical services to more than 850,000 individuals in 26 governorates, organized over 800 medical convoys, and hosted 2,000 clinic days. Preventive health awareness sessions have reached more than 340,000 individuals, with over 1,800 life-changing surgeries performed. In 2024, IBF expanded by launching two new fixed satellite clinics in underserved governorates, increasing the total to eight fixed clinics and six mobile clinics.

IBF’s achievements go beyond mere statistics. By decentralizing its operations, the foundation has strengthened its ability to deliver comprehensive healthcare services that cater to the unique needs of each community. Moreover, IBF has become the first charitable healthcare foundation in Egypt to obtain ISO 9001-2015 certification, reinforcing its commitment to delivering services that comply with the highest international standards.

Collaboration has been central to IBF’s success over the past decade. The foundation has partnered with more than 30 esteemed organizations, including leading banks, corporations, and local and international NGOs. These partnerships are designed to align with each partner’s corporate social responsibility goals while amplifying community impact.

For instance, the CIB Foundation has supported children’s health by sponsoring medical convoys, clinic days, and surgeries for underserved communities. The Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development has collaborated with IBF on a three-year initiative to visit orphanages throughout Egypt, providing comprehensive healthcare and psychological rehabilitation programs. Apache Corporation has contributed to healthcare improvements in Matrouh governorate through a three-year project encompassing medical convoys and the establishment of a fixed satellite clinic by the end of 2025. Additionally, Dell Technologies has worked with IBF to deliver preventive health awareness sessions targeting underprivileged communities in Fayoum.

Through these diverse partnerships and innovative projects, IBF works towards advancing community development and ensuring the sustainability of healthcare services. The foundation is dedicated to employing local teams from the communities it serves, enhancing local capacity and contributing to the improvement of service quality.

IBF is committed to continuing its journey of empowering individuals and spreading hope by expanding specialized medical services, such as dental care, and establishing new strategic partnerships both locally and internationally. The foundation’s efforts will also focus on training medical personnel and staff in the most underserved areas, ensuring that high-quality healthcare remains sustainable across all governorates.

IBF invites individuals, companies, and organizations to support its mission through effective partnerships, project collaborations, or volunteer opportunities. Financial contributions are also welcome to sustain services and reach more beneficiaries. Together, we can ensure the sustainability of medical services and extend our reach to more people in need.
